My 2011 moment of truth

Without any intention to be such a melancholic person, I find it interesting to list down some of my most personal interesting moments in 2011 - just for fun ;-)

Most unfortunate event
Hmm… the first thing that came to my mind is when I successfully got thrown out from a running motorcycle (Ojek) and hit the ground (after banging my neck to the automatic stopping bar of a parking gate)...phewwww... This actually happened in the very end of December 2010, but the pain still remained until weeks afterward. Luckily doctor has confirmed that no serious injuries on my body especially the back neck ;)

Most exciting moment
I could say I was quite blessed to have the opportunity to do ‘big’ travels twice this year! The Europe trip was quite an experience for me in every aspects of it. Going on a trip to the world’s capital of adventure, New Zealand, has certainly adding another great value into my life.

Most boring moment
Hmmm...funny is that I can't think of any... I enjoyed every bit of my life, be it glorious moments or gloomy days, or even those in between. I could always find ways or things to do to occupy my mind so that I didn’t have time to feel bored….well, the worst case is you could always go to sleep, right? *wink*

The most adrenalin-rush activity
My recent skydiving in Taupo, New Zealand definitely ranks the top of my list!
The next one is when I have to deal (again!!) with my fear of the "invisible friends" at home. But I learned that sometimes it is all about our mind, how we can take fully control of it to help us direct our action. In short, I learn (still learning!) not to be afraid of them! huhuuhu....

I laughed most when...
Hmmm… I don’t remember the details of each reason when I burst into laughing, but I guess it is like hearing a sermon during Sunday mass at church – you could hardly remember the detail message but somehow it has managed to touch your soul and make you feel blessed, happy and even renewed.

However, there’s a friend whom never failed to make me giggling just simply by looking at his facial expression. He doesn’t have to say or do anything – Salam gegot, Patar Simatupang!! Hahaha..

Also the “injury time” incident at Salzburg train station was quite a huge laugh that I shared with my 3 travelmates: Dewi Sekar, Indah F Sari and Olivia AS

In any cases, I always believe that if you want to be happy, just be! You don’t need anyone or anything or any reason to make yourself happy. It is the ultimate decision you can make every single day, every single second in your life. Isn’t it amazing?? That is what I learn from Christian Saja.

Most exciting event organizing
The year of 2011 was quite packed with events organizing especially at work. Other than the regular workshops/seminars, organizing the participation in one big electric exhibition was the most challenging one for me – both mentally and physically. Months of preparation and 4 days of execution were quite a mind-stressful for me.

Then only in a week, another one was coming up again. And then (again) organizing a company family day attended by over 1400 people was quite stressful. Oh dear...

Most happy moment
My (late) father still remains the center of my happiness! Everything that comes around him has always given me special meaning. This year I was really happy and relieved that he has “a new home”. In my local culture (Javanese), after 1000 days of someone’s departure, we are encouraged to build a permanent place – changing the temporary grave. And last April (a bit late, but exactly on his 3 year memory), my brother and I went to the family cemetery in Solo to see the construction of his “new home”.

So, that is my story.... what's yours?
